Five full days of stitching and collaging with textiles! What bliss.
If you love colour, thread, vintage textiles, and florals, this workshop will be just the ticket.
Join Fleur Woods, Contemporary Fibre Artist, whose 'stitched paintings' are identifiable anywhere for their rich layers and textural abundance, for an indulgent deep dive into this delicious process.
During the week, Fleur will support you in selecting textiles from her fabulous stash and guide you to create your own composition, build a colour palette and select stitches to collage your layers and illustrate your favourite elements.
Fleur's goal is to guide you toward your unique style by generously sharing her knowledge and techniques in a relaxed and supportive environment.
You don't need to be experienced in stitching to attend this workshop, but you do need to be familiar with a few simple stitches and have stitched before even if not regularly.
Thread painting florals is a beautiful element of this particular workshop where Fleur shares how she builds a flower using thread inspired by selected textiles.
All materials are supplied with plenty left over to take home. Fleur will curate the supplies and colour palette. If you have particular supplies or colours you would like to bring, you are welcome to do so.
$2000 includes all materials and tuition, morning tea and lunch each day.
