Mobile Making Weekend with Penny Simons

Rock wrapping, Whittling and Mobile making with foraged materials.

A lovely creative 2 day workshop where students get to reconnect with themselves through the natural world. Learning the artisan crafts of whittling, rock wrapping and creating with raw natural objects.

Weather permitting we can begin the weekend with a walk in the local rainforest collecting any relevant found items for our mobiles, before starting work and morning tea.

There will be half a day of rock wrapping, half a day of whittling, half a day of making and putting the mobile together, and half a day of working on the final touches.

All materials are supplied on this workshop, however students can bring their own leaves, wood, stones, bones, buttons, beads etc.

A carving knife is included in the cost of the workshop, (students need to be reminded that this is sharp and needs to be handled with care!).

Lunch and morning tea will be provided on both days.

Both days are 10am til 3pm. We encourage you to book accomodation early. See our recommended accomodation list on our website.

$530 AUD

If booking multiple places, please provide full names of all participants in extra info box at time of booking.
