Junk Journaling 101 : Make your own Journal

There is something immensely satisfying about holding all sorts of paper in your hands. Especially when that paper is vintage, perhaps crunkled and oozing with story.

The junk journaling community likes to use paper of all kinds in a sustainable way. Pages and covers are built out of recycled packaging, old book pages, tea-dyed paper and everything else you can think of! The pages, in combination with additional mixed media elements (known as ephemera) are compiled to produce beautiful journals that can be used for memory keeping, daily journalling or as art books.

In this workshop you will be guided on how to make a journal from scratch. You will be provided with a variety of curated papers, many of them vintage, to use as the basis of your journal. Throughout the day you  will be encouraged to explore the textures, shapes and elements that you like best, so that your journal becomes a personal and meaningful piece.

All materials, morning tea and lunch are all provided.
