Embrace the principles of circular fashion by bringing creativity and colour to the meditative task of mending. Using hand-dyed wool yarns, Liberty fabrics, and Indian cottons, I will show you how to repair, decorate and revitalize your cherished clothing.
In this workshop, participants are encouraged to bring along a pair of jeans, a favorite jumper with a moth hole, or any garment in need of rejuvenation. You'll learn my favourite weaving technique, Kantha running stitch, detached chain, Turkey work, and appliqué for patching.
The hand-dyed yarns are a joy to stitch with—both forgiving and inspiring. As you work, every stitch becomes a delightful surprise, as colours emerge and your mending takes shape, creating a piece that feels almost magical.
This workshop is about embracing the pleasure and freedom of stitching while contributing to a more sustainable and mindful wardrobe.
Lunch and morning tea also provided.
