Guided by Lou, award winning artist, weaver and maker, this day of joyful creativity is designed for anyone looking to delve into the calm of making and weaving, from absolute beginners to more experienced makers. With as little or as much instruction as you prefer, and as the materials combine with your creative style, Lou will support you through the steps to make a beautiful, organically created wall art.
An environmental advocate, Lou sources her leaves, twigs, seed pods, driftwood, feathers, branches and grasses sustainably from the Sapphire Coast of NSW where she resides and works. Using only natural plant fibres, to bind and tie your materials, your unique artwork will be glue and plastic free, which in time, may be safely and sustainably composted.
Including a delicious lunch, by the end of the day, you’ll leave with a stunning wall hanging ready to display in your home — one that carries the beauty of Mother Nature and the joy of having made it yourself. Come along, unwind, and create something truly unique from nature’s gifts.
